GDPR

Welcome to the complicated word of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which comes into force on the 25th May 2018 and replaces the existing Data Protection Act (DPA).

To keep jargon down, we just wanted to let you know what will be happening. As an organiser of events, we collect and use personal data for the purposes of the events. We also use Full On Sport to collect and process data on our behalf.
Both companies already take data security very seriously and already meet the current DPA rules and are introducing new measures over the next few weeks to meet the new GDPR.

• From the 1st of May 2018 the minimum age limit to create a member account on FOS will be set as 16 years old. Existing members, if any, under 16 from the 1st May 2018 will have their accounts DELETED. They will be notified that they will no longer be able to use their account. For events that have a junior section, a parent or guardian will need to register on their behalf.

• The organiser tools allow us to email all previous participants who have signed up to one our events. From the 1st of May 2018 FOS will be contacting each participant requesting them to opt in to any future emails from you. Those that do no opt in, will be automatically opted OUT.
