White Star Running 2022

As we approach the end of another year, we wanted to give you an update on how 2022 is shaping up for White Star Running.

We’re really looking forward to getting back to doing what we do best and putting on some epic events in gorgeous places. Lots going on behind the scenes at the moment as we prepare the races and move over to our new entry system.

Before we talk about 2022, we just want to say thank you for all your support over the last few months, entering virtual events and shopping with White Star Clothing. From next year we’ll be back to business as usual, and it’s shaping up to be a great year! We can’t wait to see you all at the races, having fun and doing brilliant things.

The 2022 race season

The 2022 race season will open in March with the Spring Larmer Tree races. These are already open for entry and we’re already operating a waiting list for both dog-start races (10-mile and 7-mile) and the marathon. The other races are filling up, so get your places before they sell out!

The Imperial Series is back for 2022 as well. This is a great chance to race the 10-mile distance over three very different events. It’s a really good challenge and you get a bespoke bonus medal for doing them all, as well as the individual goodies. Entries are open for the Larmer 10, Bournemouth 10 and Lytchett 10 and you need to open each one separately – just make sure you pick the Imperial Larmer 10 Mile on our website.

Next to open will be the Ox Races on Thursday 30th December at 7pm. You can find out more about the Ox Races in this article. Entries will be via ClubTrac.

In a BRAND-NEW EVENT FOR 2022, we’ll also be opening the Giant’s Half soon, a new addition to the ever-popular Giant’s Head Marathon weekend. We reckon this is going to sell out like the other distances on this weekend, so make sure you keep an eye out for this one. It’s going to open for entries on Friday 14th January at 7pm – SAVE THE DATE! A great chance to run the Giant’s Head hills and get a cool willy medal over the half-marathon distance.

Now, we know that the Giant’s Head Marathon and the Sydling Hill Race sell out so quickly; they’re hard to get a place in. We have got a waiting list for each and if you get on there now, there is a chance you could get lucky before June. We’ve already triggered a few from each list.

Another BRAND-NEW EVENT FOR 2022 will be the Mapperton Muddle, which sees us at a new venue offering some winter fun over half-marathon and 10K distances. More details to follow in the new year.

A couple of races are being rested for 2022, namely the Crafty Fox races and the Dorset Invader races. Fear not, we’re always working on new ideas and we’re potentially looking at a longer Frolic-type event for the August Bank Holiday weekend (to give people a chance to run 24 hours upwards or 100 miles), as well as a Halloween night race.

We’re also bringing back the Belt Belts and Rosettes, so if you fancy earning one of these, make sure you see which races will qualify here.
