After a not-entirely-unexpected announcement last night, Covid-safe restrictions will stay in place at our upcoming races in July.
We’ve run three successful races so far under these restrictions, and we hope they have been as White Star like as possible. Both the Wedding Race and the Cider weekend will continue to run in the same safe manner as our May and June events. If you are coming to our July events, make sure that you read our Covid advice (https://whitestarrunning.co.uk/wsr-covid-secure-events/) and a few important points from our first two events (https://whitestarrunning.co.uk/a-return-to-racing-some…/).
Remember that aid stations won’t have any food; so bring plenty of fuel to run with.
A couple of specific race points. The Wedding Run will be number collection on the day, so you won’t get anything in the post. Entries still available and more info here: https://whitestarrunning.co.uk/wsr-races/wedding-run/The Cider weekend transfer deadline is almost here. No changes, deferrals or transfers can be processed after Friday 18th June, and numbers will be sent out in the post for this one (unless you enter after we send them). We won’t be able to have a band for this one, but we will endeavour to work out a bar solution. Places are still available in the Cider Sessions and both Piggy Plods, but the Frolic is sold out (waiting list in operation until the transfer deadline). https://whitestarrunning.co.uk/…/cider-piggy-weekend-2021/
As always, thank you for your continuing patience, and for understanding the rules and restrictions we have to keep in place a little longer.
