We know that many of you have been eagerly awaiting news about our proposed new event in the New Forest. It’s an event we really wanted to bring to you, as it’s such a wonderful place to run.
However, we’ve not been able to get it to work. We’ve been in chats with all the relevant landowners over the last few months. We did secure a great start/finish with Sandy Balls Holiday Village, but unfortunately we couldn’t come to an agreement with all parties involved to make the event happen.
We’re disappointed of course, but any new event we plan has to be a proper White Star Running affair, working with the relevant landowners and our partners in a way that keeps everyone involved happy, is safe and gives our runners the experience they expect.
We wanted to give you an update now so you can start to think ahead to your 2022 race season. We are, however, continuing to work hard on our existing events ready to bring them back for 2022, and we’ll keep you updated on our progress with that in due course.
